It all started with a book drive...

Several years ago I worked with a book company and often ran one to two book drives a year for a local foster agency. This helped me build great relationships with everyone there. In November 2020 I had the idea to sponsor the remaining kids in foster care that Christmas so I took to TikTok (makes sense right?) My 7-second video ended up blowing up and we were able to sponsor just 8 children that year. I didn’t make any wish lists or anything, I just used the creator fund money I made.

Fast forward a year later, we made a big move to Tennessee and I was hopeful to make a big impact in my new community. I approached the after-school program Rise Up to sponsor all 100 students there. I shared this with my followers and within a day the list was completely purchased. God knew more kids needed to be loved on so he connected us to an Amazon driver whose wife was the secretary at Happy Valley (Hi Becky!) I quickly called her and told her we’d like to sponsor the whole school (She probably thought I was NUTS!) Not only did we sponsor the whole school but we were also able to give gift cards to every middle school and high school student.

I never thought this project would blow up as it did, but I’m so thankful God is using me and my family as the vessel to spread joy.
